Adult Bible Studies and Discussion

Rev. Harry Klassen is leading a Bible Study Wednesday evenings in the Sanctuary 7:30-9:00PM. This Bible Study is based on "Twelve Keys to an Effective Church" by Kennon Callaghan.

Upcoming studies:

Wed. Nov 16th - no study this evening

Wed. Nov 23rd - "High Visibility" Matthew 5:14-16; Mark 2:1-5.

Jesus states categorically that "you are the light of the world." "God has given us this new day. God invites us to discover the focus of our lives for this new time." - Callaghan

Wed. Nov 30th - "Generous Giving" Matthew 6:31-33; Mark 10:13-16

"Living things grow and change and flower and bear fruit. What about our church buildings?" - Ken Walsh.

"Money follows mission. The more generous the mission, the more generous the giving." - Callaghan

Visitors are welcome to join us. Please call 416-699-3084 for further information.

Sewing and Knitting Group

We meet on the 4th Tuesday each month at 1: 30 p.m. at the church. We enjoy fellowship and creativity through sewing and crafts, which are given to the fall bazaar in November. Please join us. Call the church at 416-699-3084 for more details.

Fallingbrook Church Women (FCW)

The women of Fallingbrook are VIP's – very important people in this church. We are an informal group of women who consider all women of our congregation to be members of the FCW.

We help whenever and wherever we can. We coordinate the annual bazaar, sponsor an African girl through World Vision, have raised money to supply an incubator to an Indian Hospital among many other missions, and volunteer at the Churches-by-the-Bluffs Food Bank.

Annual Bazaar

Our congregational bazaar is held every year in November. Seasonal and non-seasonal items are lovingly made by the sewing and knitting group along with home-baked goodies from church members. Wonderful gift basket draws are available. After a busy time of shopping, our friendly tea room offers tasty platters of sandwiches, cookies and desserts. All served by the talented men of Fallingbrook.

The Fallingbrook Church Women use the money raised for a variety of church and mission projects. This year's bazaar, held on November 12th, raised close to $4500.

Burns Dinner and Ceilidh

This community event happens every January around Robbie Burn's birthday. It is organized by members of the congregation with the Scottish Country Dancers. Proceeds from the Burns' Night support our Mission and Outreach projects. It is a very popular evening and tickets sell out quickly.

Our next Burns Dinner is on Saturday January 21st, 2012.  Phone the church office for ticket enquiries at 416-699-3084 in early January 2012.
